Can’t get enough of fresh produce? Make sure to check out our local farmers market. Farmers from around the region come together every weekend to offer you the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats, honey, and so much more. It not only provides fresh products and supports local businesses but also fosters a sense of community.

Take for instance the last weekend: we had an amazing turnout at the Farmers Market, and our Art Exhibit was a hit. There were fresh apples, juicy oranges, ripe tomatoes, sweet homemade jams and much more at the Farmers Market, while the Art Exhibit showcased brilliant oil paintings, acrylic masterpieces, splendid watercolors, and interesting sculptures.

  • Arts Exhibition at the local gallery: open from 10am – 6pm.
  • Farmers Market at Plainview central park: starts at 9am.
  • Local Music concert at the city hall: starts at 7pm with talented musicians from our community.
  • The annual book fair at the library: from 11am to 5pm.
  • Plainview’s History Museum exhibitions showcasing the old artifacts: Open throughout the day.

Recreation

As the weather warms up, consider participating in local recreational activities. We have events that cater to every member of your family. If you’re a fitness enthusiast or just looking for some fun exercise, choose from a variety of fitness classes or explore our biking and hiking trails.

For children, we have several interactive events lined up. From the fascinating science exhibit at our local museum to the captivating magic show, your kids are bound to have an exciting weekend ahead. We also have story time sessions at the library for the little bookworms!

And who can forget about the foodies! Numerous restaurants and cafes will be offering their best dishes and refreshing summer drinks. Let’s not forget sweet surprises with homemade ice creams and sorbets at local dessert stalls throughout town.

Think back to two weekends ago when many residents participated in a Zumba class at the park, children were fascinated by the dinosaur exhibit at the museum, and families enjoyed delicious barbecue at the annual community cook-out.
