Mom Uses Breast Milk For Bake Sale Brownies — and the Web Hates Her for It

A mother took to Facebook after one of her bake sale brownie ingredients raised eyebrows and turned some stomachs. The anonymous mom went on the Facebook group Sanctimommy to ask advice about backlash she’s been getting since it was revealed she used her own breast milk on the bake sale treats.

Unsurprisingly, after one mom found out about the secret ingredient, there was some anger on the part of the other bake sale parents. But the breast milk baker still doesn’t understand exactly why everyone is so mad.

“I made brownies for my school bake sale that had breast milk in them,” she wrote. “I didn’t have time to run to the store, and didn’t think it was a big deal (some of those kids could use the nutrition to be honest). One of the other moms found out and are [sic] blowing it way out of proportion. Idk what to do!”

The Internet, like it always is, was unforgiving to the breast milk mother.

“Once she uses her own eggs, then she can brag about nutrition. Amateur,” one comment read.

“It’s like that one time I made lemonade with my own urine because I ran out of water and didn’t feel like going to the store to get more,” another Facebook comment read. “I only drink Perrier so they were getting, like, the best urine ever. I don’t know why everyone was so mad about it.”

Another user decided that this isn’t a laughing matter:

Honestly this is actually a damn near criminal offense! Breast milk, like blood or semen, can carry diseases, which is why legit donation services screen the milk before passing it along to moms and their babies. Secretly feeding children that aren’t yours baked goods with your bodily fluids in them is gross, shady and borderline psychotic. Wait, not borderline, it’s full-blown psychotic…I don’t care if the possible harmful diseases ‘baked out.’ This sanctimonious psycho needs to be slapped.

If there’s any advice that the breast milk baker has taken away from this whole debacle, it’s to stay off of the Internet. SHARE if you think Facebook was right to tell her off.
